Interesting. What are your comments on this? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6852828/ There is a video you can watch that shows the episode in question. I think it is someone making something out of nothing.JMO.
Good, there should be lots of gay, light, cheerful, merry, bright cartoons ... (No, I havent watched the video, I think it's a silly concept. It's a CARTOON!!)
Everytime I've watched...I haven't seen him having sex on tv or even wanting to.... SO WHO FREAKIN CARES?
I don't know, in the video link, at timemark 3:14, it does look like SpongeBob is getting ready for, er, ah, well you can check it out for yourself...
EXACTLY! I mean people scrutinizing these cartoons are just as stupid as it gets. Also, along the same line, the "not allowing Tom or Jerry to smoke" - only the BAD GUYS can smoke! That is another pile of.... I mean dang BO! That message sends kids the thought that if one of your parents smokes they are a "bad guy" (the flip side of the "critics" thoughts) Did those idiots even think about that!?! I say don't freakin' pick apart simple cartoons!!
Yeah clif he looks like he turned into a kids floatation device. <----- this smilie has it's mouth open. What does that mean?
Actually no one can smoke in cartoons these days. This is a major burr in my saddle. I really hate how I will never get to see some classic cartoons in their original entirety because of political correctness. Take, for example, the Disney movie "Make Mine Music". I got the DVD only to find that one vignette was removed. That is "The Martins And The Coys", which was removed because there was too much gun fire. Let's not even talk about the one classic Disney that I will never be able to see (I missed it as a kid) and that is "Song of the South". Although the NAACP has never had a complaint about it (in spite of rumours saying they do), Disney has locked it away forever because someone might think it's racist! Racist my lilly white butt! It's a celebration of being black. It was a collection of stories written by a slave which had good morals. It starred James Baskett, who was the first black man to receive an academy award (a special award for his work on SotS). It also starred Hattie McDaniel, who was the first black person to be nominated and win an academy award (for Gone With the Wind). I think people should grow up. Learn from your mistakes, don't hide from them.
I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood. I thought cartoons were make believe. Do make believe cartoon characters have a sexual orentation? This is crap anyway. Monitor what your kid watches and stop using the TV as a babysitter and you won't have to worry about crap like this.
It's a FREAKING cartoon!! Who cares, next Santa will be gay. Seems too many people have too much time on thei :!: r hands to be watching the cartoon to begin with.
Hey, it's entertainment. Actually I much prefer cartoons than some of the trash they're trying to pass of as movies these days.
Santa won't be gay but maybe a pedophile since he does hang around children and live with the elves in seclusion at the North Pole .... Sometimes a dream about a train is just a dream about a train too .... Over analysis of the meaning if each little thing is not going to prove anything except the views of the reviewer.
Just curious... did you notice that the article you linked to is dated January 21, 2005, making it over a year and a half old? :?
GOOD CALL Ready!! I didn't even notice that! I was wondering... dang haven't we been thru all this before with poor Sponge Bob? Yeah the little whore!
Jessica Rabbit is a bit of a turn on, however she is into bestiality, which is a big turn off. Also, why are thes politicaly sensitive issues like this and the prayer thread in this board, I thought that is what the Neighborhood was for? Second thought, lets leave this thread here
