I have a family member that is in a Assistant Living care facility and received a certified letter from the State, stating January 1, 2013 NC medicaid will not longer offer services under the In-Home Care and Adult Care Home Personal Care services (PCS) benefit. PCS covers hands on assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting and eating, home management task, medications, adaptive and assistant devices and durable medical equipment. This is also covering Alzheimer's and mental patients Now it seems they have extended the care for such individuals from Jan 1 to Jan 31
