The brain cells of this nation can use a little 'stimulance'?? People getting happy over $168 billion borrowed from China and a portion sent to their home so they can run down to WalMart and give it back to China. And don't worry if you didn't qualify for the check this time. Our professional idiots in D.C. put a "re-do" clause for you in the 2008 filing. It's unbelievable how many people are rejoicing over these checks. Wake up people, there is never "something for nothing"!! You will pay your portion of the $168 billion back eventually. Don't worry though, you can always put that on your credit card debt.

Did you make at least $3000? Even if you didn't qualify to file a tax return you may qualify to get the stimulus check.
Did you get yours yet?? Realisticly I was supposed to haev mine by May 9th and did not get it so I am going on the basis that I should have it by June 13 and surprise nothing!! Has anyone actually found a telephone number that lets you speak to a Human? The 800 number they give just goes round and round through a voice system but no human and it tells me the same thing the web site says...No information available. Sure like to know hoe the darn government expects me to stimulate the economy if they don't give me the money I am supposed to get to do it!!!!!

Yeah but that site is a joke because all it says is no info available. I actually got a human voice this morning!!! The long and short is that all thise that filed tax returns and were due refunds (not stimulus nmoney but refunds for taxes) get processed first. Those that owe money, file ontime and pay thier money have thier checks cashed and then thier returns are put to the side and are gotten to last after all retuns due refunds are proceseed. They have not even gotten to my return yet but cashed my check for what I owed back in April. They said "maybe" by July they will process my return and mail my stimulus check. So the gov bascially says pay us all year, give us more atthe end of the year but screw you if you do owe because we will send your stimulus money when we send it!!!!
I called to check on ours today and it's actually being mailed a week early. Was supposed to mail on the 27th and the phone line said it will be mailed on the 19th. Can't wait! Need some new tires in a real bad way!
My hubby and I thought we would be getting direct deposit funds since we had our income tax refund direct deposited, and his ss# ends in 09. Apparently, there is a detail the IRS did not explain: since we filed our taxes through Taxact.com and they subtracted our fee first from our refund, depositing the rest into our checking account, we had to wait for a paper check. We finally did get a paper check on May 19th. If we knew that paying the tax prep fee out of our refund would require our money to be deposited into Taxact's bank account first and would delay our stimulus check, we certainly would have paid with our check card separate from the refund. I feel this was some little known information that apparently no one knew and I happened to discover while surfing the internet for blogs on the subject. I figured I would share what I knew because there are probably a lot of people wondering why they received a paper check when they expected direct deposit. Hope this information helps... :?
