    PLEASE HELP! Stolen Gear!

    FROM THE FIFTH:

Our band trailor and ALL of our equipment was stolen today (May 21) from a residence in Benson, NC.

TRAILER: Gray/silver 6x8 trailer w/ a rounded diamond-plate front. One large ramp door in the back, one man-door on the right side. There is a large white Fifth sticker on the back which may have been removed by now. The small light on the driver's side of the trailer is broken and missing pieces - a dead giveaway.

DRUMS: Please keep an eye out for Marc's custom made mirror-chrome Sonor drum kit. There is not another like it in the USA so it should easily be identified.

Yep, it really stinks! I have had things stolen before and I first get very mad and then I try to just think.....they must have needed it (or the money for it) more than I did. When people are desperate they do all kinds of horrible things. Stealing an entire trailer full of gear??? Broke my heart because those guys had a lot of emotional attachments to their equipment. A lot of custom made pieces. It was just pure evil and I don't see desperation in an act like this. If you are that desperate, you probably did something to deserve to be that desperate.

My boyfriend and I were just talking about how we expect it to get a lot worse with gas prices the way they are. I am one of the unlucky ones that doesn't have a key lock on my gas cap!!! Who would have ever have thought that we needed to even protect our manhole covers or storm drain grates?? People are stealing those and selling them for scrap metal so be careful when you are driving!!!
