  1. Hello Everyone

I am interested in finding out who can make some homemade strawberry preserves. I need 24-30 half pint sizes containers of it. I am willing to pay. Leave your number or your email address on here..

    Thanks!

If you do not find someone local - check out the farmer's market... They have wonderful jams and preserves.

    Strawberry Preserves

But its so easy to make! I never made anything like that until last summer when we picked way too many strawberries at Beasley's Farm. They had jam samples & gave me a copy of their recipe. I just made another batch for this summer.

    Beasley's Strawberry Preserves
6 cups strawberries - cut up
    3 cups sugar
1 box Sure-jell (or store brand)
2-3 boxes strawberry jello (I use 3 small boxes or 2 large)
    1/2 cup water

Combine strawberries, sugar and water. Boil 30 minutes. Add jello and Sure-Jell. Cook 2 minutes. Scoop off foam with metal spoon. Put in sterilized jars. Turn upside down to seal or put in cool water bath.

I just make a couple of large jars - using empty store bought jam jars.
I put the glass jar in fridge and plastic one in freezer as I've read that it can be kept frozen. The kids love it and its the best I've ever tasted!
    Give it a try!
