For the past year and a half, my family has been finding abandoned pets on this dirt road. 18 to date. I have had good luck finding homes for most of them with the help of a local rescue and through contacts I have through the clinic where I work. 2 were really lost and were reunited with their owner. 2 were too sick to save and 2 we have kept due to lack of a responsible home being found. I have paid for parvo treatments, ultrasounds, heartworm test and medicines. Not to mention tons of food and flea prevention.

As of this week, I will no longer be driving on Monroe Rd. Any other pet lovers out there that want to take a turn? Right now I have a young, sweet pit bull that has no where to go except the shelter and it is breaking my heart. Can't find a good responsible home or a rescue that can take her. I just can't do this anymore financial or emotionally. Hope someone out there will have the heart to help the strays for a while.
