Has anyone ever had their child take the strings elective? We are considering it for one of the boys next year and just wanted input. Does anyone know if we have to purchase the instrument? Thanks
Our daughter was in it (but several years ago!!) and we rented. She needed 1/2 size than 3/4 size as she grew so it wasnt worth buying for us, to need to buy a bigger one soon. (be sure to get the insurance if they ride the bus to school!)
DS has taken strings for the last few years. Really enjoyed it-Mrs. Olah does an excellent job teaching, training and encouraging the kids to play. We rented from someone who came to the Strings open house the first couple of weeks of school. These are really nice violins. As the kid grows the violin grows so you can move up with the rental. Nothing but a positive experience here.
