Why would he blow his career (and possibly his life) on heroin? He's old enough to know better. I just don't understand. :?
'CSI' Star Busted for Heroin Possession April 29, 2008, 7:39 PM PDT CSI star Gary Dourdan has been arrested in Palm Springs for possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs. An officer spotted a car parked on the wrong side of Sunny Dunes Road near Gene Autry Trail around 5:20 a.m. Sunday and spotted a man inside when he approached the vehicle, said Palm Springs police Sgt. Mitch Spike. The actor, who has played crime scene investigator Warrick Brown on the CBS series since 2000, was carrying a California driver's license, which lists his birth name of Gary Robert Durdin, according to police. The officer described Dourdan as disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The officer arrested Dourdan after locating suspected cocaine, heroin, Ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs and paraphernalia. The 41-year old Venice resident was taken to the Palm Springs Jail, where he was booked for possession. He was later released on $5,000 bail. It was announced last week that Dourdan may not be returning to CSI next season. Although his contract expires next month, there's no official timeframe as to when he will leave the show. However, show executives may already be searching for a possible replacement, as they're hosting casting calls for another series regular, according to TV Guide. Although a CBS spokesperson could not confirm or deny the information, it has watchers wondering: Will the May 15 season finale be his last episode?
Latest rumor is that he will be gone at the end of the season. Anyone else heard this? I wonder if it is because of all the bad media attention he has been having the past year?
End his career? Come on now folks, this is hollywood. If using drugs meant an end to someone's career in that town their wouldn't be many left or anyone to make the movies. Sad to say it, but most of them seem to be able to find work without any problem after breaking the law for all sorts of things.
