I am wondering what to do with my daughter (13) for the summer. Do not want her hangin out in the house all day. She needs something to do other than spending all day in the house reading her books over and over again. Anyone have any ideas? Don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

IS she too young to work YMCA camps? Volunteer at Johnston Memorial, Wake Med or Senior home?

    Babysit for any neighbors?

Or offer to be a mommy's helper? Hmmm...where do you live? I could use one of those...have her come over play with the kids while I do laundry, do dishes, clean.....

That could be one option for her anyway.

Go to "Search" in the gray bar and type in Summer Camps. There are two pages of different Threads. Some may be discussing kids attending and some may be discussing small jobs.

    Lots to do......

Check with Innerskate to see if they need some help with their summer camp. The kids don't get paid, but it does give them something to do. My ex SIL's daughter did this last summer.
