Ok I know it's only January but thought I would get a jump on looking for something for my kids to do this summer. They are at the age where they are too old to go to a baby sitters and too young to stay home. I was looking into some camps from the YMCA but dang it's pricey. What are some other suggestions for the area and if any of you have taken your kids to some day camps, where did you go?

Mine go to Riverwood Summer Camp. Its not cheap but none really are. It runs about $257.00 for two weekly . Its great, my kids love it. They take weekly fieldtrips, provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks. 6:30am to 6:30am.

That is kind of high. YMCA is $119/week.
I just don't want them sitting around at a "babysitters" or home alone all day.

Yeah, ours is about $129.00 each. Luckily, my husband and myself both live and work not too far from there. So we save on gas from running all around. It's pretty convenient for us.

Raleigh Parks & Recreation has some summer camps for $45.00 a week. There is a brand new facility off Rock Quary and Barwell, called Barwell Rd. and the next closest would be Carolina Pines off Hwy 70 just outside Garner.
