After seeing a preview on TV, I wasn't sure what's the movie about. I was thinking maybe another Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" version. Then I read a movie critic article in today's newspaper, I was shocked to read it's all about killing and revenge. And get this, it will be showing around Christmas holiday. I don't get it - why don't they show it on Halloween????
http://imdb.com/title/tt0408236/ Plot summary calls it a 'harrowing melodrama'...Normally I really like Tim Burton, but I think I'm going to pass on this one...supposed to be pretty gory... Had a friend go see 'I Am Legend'...it's also about cannibalism (I think the book was more of a vampire thing...I'm going to read it when I find a paperback version)...she said that she enjoyed that. The new Nicholas Cage movie (the National Treasure sequel) is supposed to be more family-friendly than the above two movies. It's time to start doing the Oscar thing... probably Sweeney Todd was released now to get maximum Academy exposure...
RE: I Am Legend Any one know if the German Shepherd dog dies? I just cannot see my dog die on the big screen. :-( Sorry it this is a major plot spoiler - If you see the flick just PM me. Thanks, Woof Woof & Kel
I saw "I am Legend" last week. If you want to know about the dog, highlight the text below: Yes, the dog dies. It was very sad and I am always the first to bawl over animals getting killed but it was not heartwrenching. I think you kind of know because they build it up in a scene prior. The movie itself was really, really, really good. I will be the first to admit, I practically had anxiety through the whole movie because there was alot of moments were you literally jump out of your seat. There was a couple of scenes were you knew something was goign to happen, but it was built up so much and took place over several minutes, that it was hard to relax. Still, two thumbs up. I will only see movies for a second time if I really enjoyed it that much. This was not one of them though. Still very good though.
