Just read it in Herald newspaper today. How sad that they're closing. The people there are very nice and the cookies they made are delicious. Hate to see them go.
Is this the place in Peddlers Village (next to Bojangles)? I wanted to go there a few times but the chicken grease just keeps pulling me away.
No, it was in the shopping center behind Food Lion, across from the Clubhouse rest, beside the hair salon. There used to be a place near Bo's a long time ago, now its Monkey's Ink.
Unfortunately I think the demise was them moving into an alternate location and I'm sure the rent wasn't cheap. It's too bad because Christine is one of the nicest people I've ever met and the cookies are so delicious. I know they truly enjoyed their business. Maybe they will go back to having the business at home?....one can only hope
That's not what I heard, but I don't know for sure what I heard is correct...But I'm pretty sure she's not moving it into her home, at least not now. She did all my hubby's thank you gifts, and she said she is closing. She didn't mention moving it back into her home.
The article in The Herald stated that one of the owners has unexpected medical problems, hope its nothing too serious.........
Thanks for your concern guys. I'm sure the owners would be warmed to know they are so loved in the community. Everything will be okay for them and, yes, the Herald had it right. We, too, will miss the business greatly, but are glad we've become friends with the owners. They are very special to us. Frogger
I hate to see them go! They did all my closing gifts as well and I was just craving their strawberry cheesecake fudge the other day! They were incredibly sweet people and will definitely be missed!
Good news...They're back in business!! One of the owners came by the office the other day to drop off some goodies! It's a long story, but I thought I'd help 'em out by posting it on here. If I understood right, a portion of the money they make goes to charity... I believe they're still in the same spot, so if you want to go by and check it out, go for it! They have the best cookies (and fudge) around! :hurray:
Thanks for letting us know. Do you know if they have a website??? Many sweet teeth in this house--LOL. Thanks. stephanie--mom to 7
Hey Steph~ The website's the same. Yes, a portion of the profits will go to charity. Forgive me for not remembering the name exactly, but it's for Downs and it's in Raleigh. There's really a beautiful story behind this all. Ready, you would say it's Providence and I'd have to agree with you! I love this company and feel like the earth has tilted back on its axis now . :hurray::hurray::hurray:Had some of her cookies the other day that were brought to the office. They are INCREDIBLE!!!!
yes, that is the right site. I am glad you posted this DMJ, I totally forgot! I picked up an order from them on Monday and it was as cute & tasty as ever! I am so glad they are back!
