I have never used it, but have had friends that have and not good results, and it's really expensive.
My son went to Sylvan for over a year. It was expensive, but I found he got very good results and they were instrumental in helping my son pass the end of grade tests for Math when he was graduating. They were very specific about not teaching him the test, but teaching him the skills he needed to get back to grade level to pass the test.
