Just a heads up on the Tax weekend..I don't use it cause I have to work all weekend..but it's a good thing if your buying computers and stuff like that. We have limits at Sam's club on what you can get..can you believe someone accually asked yesterday if they can buy a TV tax free lol...oh well. Sheri
The Dept of Revenue has a 3-page list of items that are exempt. The major headings are: 1. Clothing with a sales price of $100 or less per item. 2. Sport or recreational equipment with a sales price of $50 or less per item. 3. Computers with a sales price of $3,500 or less per item. 4. Computer supplies with a sales price of $250 or less per item. 5. School supplies with a sales price of $100 or less per item. The lists of school supplies and computer supplies are all-inclusive - if it's not on the list, it's not tax-free. The lists of clothing and sports equipment are not all-inclusive. Hope this helps!

Seriously, I am not purchasing any big ticket items unless I find a laptop for cheap. I am steering clear of the stores this weekend. :shock:
I didnt really think it would have that big of an impact, but I spent about $375 at Kohls today...savd about $27 in taxes and got $70 in"Kohls Cash" back since they are having their get $10 for every $50 you spend...I clothes three kids for that amount..so I think even though it isnt a huge chunk...it helps.... I also saw on tv that tomorrow is "teacher appreciation" at Big Lots, so there is a additional 10% off for teachers.....just an FYI

I went shopping on the tax free weekend last year. It was worse than shopping on the day before Christmas! ....Never again! LOL
Surprising enough... I had a pretty worry free shopping experience. I got all my shopping finished on Saturday in less than 2 hours. Granted I had a 4 year old telling me to hurry up he has a swimming appointment. :lol: Rushing me just like his daddy... go figure. And then on Sunday, I hit the pottery and it wasn't as bad as expected. I got good parking spaces easy as pie! The only down side was the Levi outlet... HOT!! No A/C... Yeah I walked right outta there! Smelled like arse and feet. :shock: :lol:
