    Ok I need help!
Who in here knows alot about filing taxes? And I am not talking about 2007 taxes. I know I can't file online since it's a late filing.

I checked into this a few years ago for a friend who hadn't filed in years. If that person owes taxes, they of course have to pay the taxes owed, and a percentage as penalty (it's not a huge fee, as I remember).

The good news is that if someone didn't file for past years, and they were due a refund, they'll still get that refund. I think you can go back for 4 years and get refunds owed to you (that's from memory, so I may be wrong on the number of years until you lose the refund).

It's 3 years after the due date of the tax return. So, for example, 2004 tax returns were due on April 15, 2005, so that tax return would have to be filed by April 15, 2008, to get the refund.

I think I got it all taken care of. LOL
2004 taxes were not filed. There was some owed on it but the IRS already took it out of their refund for 2007. But now it just needs to be filed.
    :) Thank you!
