Teachers, Staff Foster Learning for a Lifetime in the Johnston County Schools The Johnston County Schools invites the public to observe Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, May 3-9, 2004. The district will acknowledge the hard work and commitment of its 3,000 employees during this special time. Dr. Anthony Parker, Superintendent, and Fred Bartholomew, Chairman, of the Johnston County Board of Education, are encouraging businesses, parents, and community members to tell and show Johnston County Schools staff members how important their work in education is to the future. "The future of our nation is in the hands of everyone, but quality educators and staff have leading roles in the work of molding that future into a successful and prosperous one," said Dr. Anthony Parker, Superintendent. "Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is a reminder of the need for constant inspiration and support as we go about the work."
