Today I went shopping at the Food Lion at 40/42. When I used my Bank Card at the register, my baby girl kept trying to get it. I was in a hurry & not paying much attention. In anycase, I let the baby hold the card when I was singing the receipt ... fully intending to put the card away when I was done. A couple of hours after my trip to the grocery store I started looking for my card ... and of course it was no where to be found. I realized that I had never remembered to actually take the card away from the baby. I went to Food Lion & some WONDERFUL individual had found my bank card in the parking lot & turned it in to customer service. In fact, customer service said 2 bank cards & a drivers license had been found in the parking lot today and turned in to customer service. I know money is tight for many folks right now ... and using my card to buy a tank of gas ... or something else would have been sooo easy .... but instead some honest person turned the card in. I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU!!! THERE ARE SOME WONDERFUL FOLKS IN THIS AREA ... AND TODAY I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE HELPED BY ONE OF THEM. THANKS AGAIN
Does help restore your faith in people some times, does it not? Happy for ya that it worked out.... Carl
A couple of years ago, I left my purse in the parking lot at Wal-Mart in Fuquay. When I realized I didn't have it, as you might imagine, I was extremely upset. But some kind stranger picked it up and used my cell phone to call my daughter! I was so relieved to get it back! Then a few weeks ago I had an opportunity to return the favor. I was leaving Food Lion and noticed a purse in a shopping cart and no one around. I looked around to make sure, and there really was no one anywhere around. So I brought it inside and left it at the service desk.
That's great Meylinda! I found a wad of cash in a bank envelope on the floor at Food Lion once and turned it into Cust. Service. I was with my now ex, and he chastised me for not keeping it. I was so angry with him. I asked him how would he like it if he lost that money? Suppose it was for someone's rent or food for their kids? I wish more people would stop and think like that before keeping something that doesn't belong to them. Kudos to those that do!
