Thank You To Jiffy Lube on 70 In Clayton

for taking care of a bad situation very nicely. Sent my teen in with written instructions on what I wanted done on my vehicle before we drove across state for Thanksgiving. She called me while at the facility and stated that they had broken the radiator hose and cap off and the manager needed to speak with me. After he explained to me what was wrong with my car I asked him how it got that way. I stated that they were to change my oil and check the anti-freeze. He stated that my daughter asked for the radiator to be flushed and that the hose and cap were bad.

Well, I was livid and stated to him that I knew that was not what she asked for and that neither of us knew what a radiator was. He stated he would call me right back. He called back within 10 minutes and asked me where I wanted the car towed to so that it could get fixed. I stated that I needed items out of it for my trip and I did not know where I wanted it towed to. I also stated that I wanted a rental car for work and our vacation. He slightly argued and then stated he would call me right back.

Don't worry, I was on the cell with the teen.

He called me back and stated that the car would be towed to my house and a rental car arranged. When we arrived back from our trip we were to give him a call on where the car would be towed to get fixed. The next day Enterprise Rental Car had someone deliver a wonderful vehicle to our home. When we arrived home I called Jiffy Lube and they had someone tow my vehicle to get it fixed. The mechanic said they had no problems at all with Jiffy Lube.

I must say that Jiffy Lube's customer service and manager were wonderful during a very hard time. I am sure that I was not the most polite person to begin with but they were very professional.

I'd never go there.

I went there had an oil change and they didn't put enough oil in the car.

My BIL went there and they put the wrong size oil filter on, he got a mile down the road, all oil was gone.

LAST and ONLY time I was there, they had a couple of snot nose kids that had no idea what they were doing.

 

Hum, tells me how dumb I was to go there to begin with but the ending was very professional.

I do mine myself But since losing all my tools in the fire, I have been taking my car to the Quick Oil Change on the side road (Next to KFC on 42) They do a good job. After Xmas if Santa brings me some basic mechanic tools, I will return to doing the changes myself. Much Cheaper:lol:

 

I take my vehicle to Evan's tire in Smithfield. They do my oil change and all my other mechanical needs.

When I lived in Boca Raton Fl I use to take my vehicle to Jiffy lube and they were ok. But when I went to Precision tune one time to get an oil change they went and did an entire tune up with out my approving it. So instead of a 20 something oil change they charged me over 350.00 for a tune up on a chevy caviler with 36k miles on it.

 

Quality Auto behind Bojangles on 42. They do all of our work.

 

Harris Automotive. He is super and the prices are good and the service is outstanding. It is on 70 by the Car Quest. Plus when he does anything to your car you won't hear him say "I found something else wrong with your car, or you need this done too."

 

We do have a regular mechanic that we take our cars to but sometimes he is booked and I just need a quick oil change or the fluids checked and filled up. That is what happened in taking the car to Jiffy Lube.

Jiffy Lube fan here.

Never have had a problem with my dealings with JL. I am speicifc about what services I want. I check my own oil and replace air filter as needed. Knowing about one's vehicle and being proactive about specifying what services one needs reduces the opportunity for an enterprising business to take advange.

JL has always been timely and accurate, and cost effective for my business.
