http://www.newsobserver.com/front/story/1566763.html I wasn't down there at the time, but all of a sudden cops are swarming and crime scene tape is up. Nobody hurt though thankfully.
Wow - that's too close. The branch in my building was robbed a few years ago. I was amazed at how many and how quickly Raleigh Police officers got here. Then I wondered what it would be like to be in there when it happened. Those tellers don't make enough money to risk their lives.
Sounds like they might have him - Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police were questioning a suspect Friday afternoon about a robbery at the Wachovia Bank at 150 Fayetteville St. A man entered the bank at about 1:30 p.m., gave a note to a teller and left with an undetermined amount of money, a police spokeswoman said. Two hours later, an officer spotted a person at Wilmington and Martin streets matching the description of the suspect and took him into custody. Police did not release the name of the suspect. http://www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/5344977/
Yeah. It was close to home. Thankfully I wasn't wandering around the lobby at the time. Awesome that they picked him up and he is like most criminals - dumb as a box of rocks - he was what - a couple blocks from the bank?
What a coincidence, he was in your building today making a withdrawal and I can see his new home, Central Prison from my office window. I hope it was worth it for him. He traded his freedom for 2 hours with a bag of money and a 6 X 8 cell making 35 cents a day.
