Shelby who is almost 15 goes flying into her kennel whenever DH or I cough? Now when he or I sneeze (allergies) she's running for cover? What in the hell is wrong with her? :?

My neighbor was telling me yesterday that the vet has told them that dogs become scared of things as they get older.

    HG~

I was just reading today that cats tend to do things like that when the weather is about to change for the worse (bad worse). Do dogs do that too?

Maybe the barametric (sp?) pressure is changing and it's making her hearing more acute...or more pressure in her ears?????

Prozac or similar drugs are used to help dogs for separation anxiety. www.vetinfo.com/dsepanx.html

Your baby is getting old and probably misses you terribly when you're gone.

    :(

Spend some QT with her to help her know "Mommie & Daddy" aren't going to leave her.
