Ok, you know you all want to talk about this huge elephant in the room.

Personally I kind of like it. There appears to be more features that I'll have to learn, but all in all it's just different enough to be better, but not too different to make it a complete change.

I notice there is spell check ...yeah ... but it does require a download. I went to the site and it was not clear to me exactly what to click. Anyone want to walk me through that?

I imagine in about a week everyone will forget about what the old site looked like.

I agree with Ken on #1 through #3, but also keeping in mind that it is new and "different" from what I have become use to.

I don't know how to "mark all topics read"
I'm not one for change, so we'll see.

Where are the smilies after I post something like now : (

I need a crash course on this new forum :(

I don't think the option exists (yet). I looked for it, but can't find it.

    Oops, spoke too soon.

    I found it.

On the topic ("Discussion Group", "The Neighborhood", etc) main page, under the "Page 1 of..." on the right there is a menu titled "Forum Tools". Click on that and a menu will drop down. One of the options is "Mark This Forum Read"

i don't get why the smilies do not post. They post when i am submitting a post but they do not show up once posted (i'd post a confused smiley right here if i could). i have the top editor, i checked to make sure my smilies were not disable but they still don't show up unless i type in : ) and then that will become replaced with a smilie.

Go into User CP, click on edit options, first thing is invisible choice.

    Thanks for the info:p

I did go invisible, but I can still see myself? :p
    I need a break!

You should have read the "Read Me" section first.

BTW, when you go "Invisible", you will still see your name (with an asterisk beside it), even though no one else will.

Yeah i know, but if you have that red dot beside your name when posting then you know you are invisible - to everyone else it says you are offline

There are probably some bugs still to work out? Some of mine worked and some didn't in earlier posts.

Just to confirm, we are currently having some "Smiley issues". This has something to do with the import from the old board. Just an FYI that we are taking a look at it and should be fully smiley operational soon.

And while you're at it, can you make it so that I can use emoticons in my emails too. I feel lost without them. ;-)
