Ok, just wondering who goes and who doesn't. Personally we haven't been in a couple of years. thanks for your votes in the poll. I just want to see what others think.
The wife and I met there 16 years ago next Friday and will have been married 11 years on Saturday. We usually go on the big anniversay's but now that we have a 3 year old I guess we will be going more.
I love to go and I usually go more then once but just can't afford it this year. Kiddo will have to miss out this year. I will be loosing money with being out after the surgery so I just don't have the funds. oh well.
Yeah and what was funny was that she had gone to the fair with a friend that I went to school with but neither me or my wife knew we had a mutual friend AND the friend had a crush on me so she was not real happy when I showed an interest in my wife. Okay it is gets weirder. Before I met my wife at the fair I dated a girl who was the sister to a guy my wife dated beofre I met her and I knew him but had never seen them together. We had each just split with our respective "dates" when we met at the fair. Talk about Fate!!! LOL
Went today and they had the Stanley Cup on display (till 3) and a guy was doing a tree saw carving of Rod and the Cup over by gate 8.
Used to go a long time ago. I havent been in about 15 years and don't plan on going. Too many people freak me out.
Going tommorow. Taking 3 kids  :? Not sure how it will go. I have always been nervous about taking my kids to the fair, overprotective I guess. On top of that, my 14 and 11 year old are being allowed by my hubby to go off on their own for a while. I do not care for this idea,.....(there I go again..I know) They will however have a cell phone, and a place to meet up with us. This is the first year my 8 year old will have ever been to the fair. He has been looking at the website saying, I wanna do this and this and this and this.........  Funny. And cute........darnit.
Love the fair, hate the crowds. ALWAYS go on sunday early morning before church is out to beat the crowds. As soon as you can no longer raise your arm and not touch someone, its time to go home! Its just not fall without fair food heartburn!
We're planning on going next Friday, depending on the weather. I've been every year that I can remember (I'll have to ask my parents how old I was when they first started taking me), and my 4 kids have been every single year of their lives - even when 'in utero'! Looks like my eldest won't be going this year though, now that he's a poor college student who has to work.
That was my trick at Kings Island in Cincy. Most Easter Sunday's they used to be open, we could get off the Roller-coaster and then get right back on.
