    And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him;

and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"'

And he himself will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; prepare for us there." - Mark 14:13-15

    Welcome to the Upper Room!

Since we don't have a Christian forum, here's a thread that we can use to post just about anything pertaining to our Christian faith, such as general news articles, favorite Christian websites, commentary, videos, prophecy, missions, humor, etc.

It's an alternative to the "God is Good" thread where some things you may have wanted to post just didn't seem to be a good fit there, and you didn't want to start a separate thread.

Please be on your best behavior at all times.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. - Matthew 5:13

Adrian Rogers is dead. Who replaced him?

Not sure who replaced Dr. Rogers at Bellevue Bapt. in Memphis, TN. I can't even remember who turned me on to him. I just love his style of preaching. His messages are just as powerful now as when he was alive.

The internet age is fantastic for me. Having messages archived where you can listen to them 24/7 and stop them and take notes, etc. is great.

Yes, raised in a Southern Baptist family but I love to listen and grow from any Christian speaker.

Got married in an evangelicial Presbyterian Church, Myrtle Grove, in Wilmington, NC. Love that church. They're off Piner Rd off of Carolina Beach Rd, at Monkey Junction, if anyone ever gets down that way.

10-4 on Lauren Talley and the Talley Trio. Great group. And David Phelps is one of my favorites. Such a powerful voice that can shake the rafters. Never a waiver.

I know you'll bring a blessing when you sing.

KDsGrandma: I liked the parallel bible site. Some good features I can use.

    ready2cmyking: 3 great songs.

    Psalm 139

    Psalm 139

1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

    9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Gracious God, in the busy-ness of my day, I sometimes forget to stop to thank You for all that is good in my life. My blessings are many and my heart is filled with gratefulness for the gift of living, for the ability to love and be loved, for the opportunity to see the everyday wonders of creation, for sleep and water, for a mind that thinks and a body that feels.
