Life is wonderful People are wonderful Other dogs are wonderful (and fun to play with) Cats do not belong in our yard and need to be chased away Stop and smell the roses...and the mail box posts...and anything else that smells, for that matter Never start brushing a Golden Retriever until AFTER you have finished drinking your coffee (the hair gets averwhere) When you're hungry, eat; when you're tired, take a nap; everything else will take care of itself PLAY! PLAY! PLAY! Pack time is the best time These life lessons are courtesy of the Snuffdog. Please feel free to add your own. Don't worry about repeating any that have already been mentioned. I also learned from the Snuffdog that repetition can be a good thing. Sit, Snuffdog, sit. Good Boy!
Jessie, the world's greatest mutt, made me a better person. * She always smiled when I came home from work... even if I was late. * She always was up for a road trip, no matter how short. * She loved the people I loved, and the people I didn't. (Good example for me, I'd say.) * Ice cream always tasted better when I shared it with her- she was so much more appreciative than me. * She never dreaded Monday mornings. Every day was a good day, a fresh beginning. (I'm trying to remember that tonight on this Monday-eve.) She did not like to be brushed... so I never had to worry about my coffee
