Where are the officials? Where are law enforcement? You have stuff like this at Carter-Finley at a State/ECU game and somebody's getting arrested. What would happen if someone went out during a Hurricane game or transplant Pittsburgh fans pelted the Canes players?

Of course, I know diddly squat about the Railhawks other than its some sort of local semi-pro (I guess) soccer team. I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it what league they belong to or if I had to name one player.

 

Unless you are assuming all of the problem fans were illegal immigrants, which is common with some folks, ICE would not have anything to do with the situation. The stadium security would be the primary group with which to inquire.

 

This happened in Raleigh? The gods must be forewarned!!! It happens in every sport from pro down to little league all around the world. Yeah.. it happened here, so what. Get out of the cornfield and realize that Raleigh's not a "country town" anymore and hasn't been for years. Just because the team is from Mexico you're wondering where immigration is. Would you be saying the same thing if it was a team from Canada or a country in Europe? Probably not. Yes, many of the fans were probably illegal and yes, I don't feel they should be here but that goes for ANY ILLEGAL from ANY COUNTRY. If you have an issue with illegal aliens, then have it across the board, don't single Mexicans out.

Overlooking your misspelling, a similar question arises. By your logic, ICE should be where their "customers" are. I'd say the same for DUI task forces. Yet, if the LEOs were to park at or near the local drinking establishments, I'm sure we'd hear loads about their entrapping folks, or just not "playin' fair".

Hispanics only make up around 7% of the population of NC. That's about 630,000 people of the almost 9 million total people that live in NC. There are only around 300,000 illegal immigrants. Do the math of the percentages above, and you'll realize that they're not all from Mexico.

My point is that you're saying that "Mexicans" caused an incident at a soccer game in Raleigh and the INS should have used it as a possible raid. Your racial bias makes you so single-minded that you do not see the possible reprecussions that a raid of that size could have caused. There were kids and hundreds of legal citizens there. Do want you or your children going through that process? Sorry, but your drivers license doesn't prove that you're a citizen. Do you not realize the number of lawsuits that could have come out of it? The embarrasment of the teams?

You really need to realize that illegals come from all around the world not just Mexico. You can't clump all Hispanics as Mexicans. If you have a problem with the amount of Hispanics here, move to Montana, there's only a 2% Hispanic population there. If you want to stay close by, try Alabama, it's only 3%. But hey, the illegal population is decreasing overall, maybe if you wait around, they'll all go away.

As I said before, I don't believe illegal aliens should be here. I don't like the fact that my tax dollars pay for services for illegals. I'm a firm believer in that if you want to live in the US, go through the proper channels and become a legal citizen, but that goes for ALL illegals, not just the ones from "Mexico".
