Riffs, which used to be Wendy's, on 70 in the walmart plaza now has a sign that says ai ge asian cuisine is coming soon. Anyone know anything about them?
I saw Ai Ge advertised on the same billboard as Kobe on the way back to Clayton from Smithfield today, so I'd guess they're affiliated.
Hm, but Kobe won't close will it? Curious what the new Ai Ge place will be like. Seems to be a tough location.
Not really Clayton but, we tried the REDNECK BBQ LAB at 210/40 last night and it was outstanding! place was packed and heading for a line out the door, seating for only about 25-30! I had brisket ribs and pulled pork with Green Beans and Boiled potatoes, Yummmy!
I stopped by and looked in the window today. Dining room appeared "ready, as in brand new tables and chairs. I'm guessing at least a couple of weeks, probably a little more. :-(
Balloons out front today and coming soon sign down. Cars out front. I assume they are open. If anyone try it please post opinions.
Ribbon cutting today per Town of Clayton Chamber. https://www.facebook.com/327576612814/videos/pcb.10154520491417815/10154520489472815/?type=3&theater
Got take out from Yi Ge a couple of days ago. I was looking forward to some sort of "Drunken Noodle" dish, but no such luck. I ended up ordering Lo Mein w/ vegetables and chicken (which morphed into shrimp by the time I got home ) It was pretty good, just not what I had my mouth set for when I walked in the door. It was a nice place, very clean (ought to be, just opened), but didn't see much difference on the menu from other Chinese/ Asian places. I like to think that I'm a fair man and will check it out again. Oh.....this was lunch and it was $9.45. Draw your own conclusions.
I drove by this YiGe place tonight and whomever came up with their signage should be fired. Is it a noodle bar? Salad bar? A bbq joint? Asian? It makes zero sense and I tend not to go places where I have NO IDEA what they are serving.
