Vicky was the lady from Johnston County Animal Shelter who helped us adopt our big, orange cat Garfield from the pet store next to BJ's in Garner. That was just before we moved to PA a little over three years ago. Garfield's a happy, healthy housepet now, if a fat one. He really is a "Garfield". We've always been curious about how he wound up at the shelter. If anyone knows Vicky, or if you are Vicky reading this, could you shed any light? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Are you sure it was Vicky from the shelter and not Vicki from the Johnston County Animal Protection League? If so, then that would be Vicki Vonn....
We adopted #4 (I guess he was #3 then...) from JCAPL @ PetSmart in Garner- I say 'we' like I had any say in the matter. Ziggy's, nee Mr. Big's, original owner passed on and I know I'd want my critters to be loved and provided for if the situation were reversed. 'Used' animals 'R cool!
Hi, Jennifer! You are right. It is Vicki Vonn. Nice lady. "Goofie Garfie" was only about a year old when we adopted him, but you could tell by the way he was with people that he was definitely someone's pet. The vet calls him a strong, healthy cat who has no trouble finding the food bowl. We named him in PetSmart when a little kid ran up to him, pointing, and said, "Garfield!"
3 yrs ago there were 2 Vicki's w/ JCAPL...Vonn and Potter. V. Vonn is Zookeeper on here...send her a pm.
