Help! Anyone have a current phone number for Tony Carroll? He is the builder for our house. Someone ran over our mailbox and I need to replace the post. Thanks so much! Mrs. Lawnranger (Sheila)

639-3281. He's our builder too. When we closed on our home, we were given a list of his subcontractors, including the ones that put in the mailbox. If you have that list, check it out.

He built ours too. When we win the lottery, he's gonna build that one, or if he's retired by then, come out of retirement to supervise.

I also agree. When our home inspection was done, the inspector said it was one of the best built houses he had seen in a long time.

Thanks so much! I didn't see that number on our list. We agree with the other posts, we love our house!

Forgive my ignorance, but why would you need to contact your builder to replace a mailbox post? Can't you just go to Lowe's and buy a new post?

You can if the HOA doesn't restrict what kind of posts & mailboxes you use.

A lot of times it's in the covenants that they have to match the rest of the S/D (if they are in a S/D). We are supposed to get ours from Post and Pickets. But seeing as how there is no HOA to come after me, I did get my replacement mailbox from Lowes.

And *this* is why I don't live in a neighborhood with an HOA....

Restrictions on your mailbox post? Really?

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking the question and getting it cleared up!

    Really!

We weren't thrilled with the idea of covenants when we moved down, but the more we looked into it, it's not always a bad thing. The covenants in our subdivision aren't unreasonable compared to some that we read, and it doesn't seem like they're overactively enforced. If there's someone causing a problem, then they are enforced, but it's not like anyone's driving around looking for violations.
