Windy here. Power has been surging for about the last 30 minutes. Sounds like there was some hail. It's calming a bit now however weather.com radar is showing one more small, but nasty, cell to move through soon. Maybe then I can go to bed.

I went to bed at 10 and woke up at 7:30.
I swear a tornado can come right through the house and I'd never wake up. I sleep like a log.

I got up twice to check weather but everything's fine here. One of the deck tables ended up in the pond, but other than that everything looks like it's in place and undamaged.

I went to bed a little after 10 and saw some lightning. Then around 11:15 woke up to loud thunder and the windows rattling. DH said it's about time you wake up.

LOL Short One got up and took his clothes he had laid out for this morning and put them in the hamper. Thunder made him get out of bed but it didn't wake up.

I didnt fall asleep till after midnight, lights flickering on and off....the wind was blowing sooo hard, I was scared, in case I had to get the kids from upstairs, down to the 'safe place', so I sat there in the dark, looking out the windows, wind howling, lights flickering, till it eased up....such a paranoid Mom I am.....gots to look out for the younglings

I hear ya on the paranoid mom thing. Boys already know where to go incase but Short One is such a hard sleeper and I can't pick him up. It scares me and I go through all these scenerios in my head.

We were doing ok until about 11pm. Then there was this loud boom and the house shook (sounded like something hit the side of the house) So we grabbed the girls and went downstairs. The power went out about half way down the stairs and stayed out until about 3am. It was hard to sleep. We have a battery powered kids lantern that we had to leave turned on because it was so dark with the power out and the 4yr olds bedroom is set up so when you walk out you are right at the top of the stairs. I was afraid she would wonder out in the pitch blackness to go potty and fall down the stairs. It was a bit scary.

We are at Amelia church and guy rd. (also, we have a radio for when the power goes out but could not find a station on am or fm that was storm news.) Is there a certain station I should listen to when this happens again?

Well, my son's soccer goal was hanging over the neighbors fence still in one piece. Other than that we're good here. Woke everyone up in the house and our bed soon became the common place....

There was a lighting strike FIRE on Sonny Road near us last night.

The family & their home are fine but a backyard barn burned.

Yes, another FIRE On Sonny Road.

A big THANK YOU to the CVFD again.
