if at all possible avoid the beltline, traffic is stopped from 64 bypass probably to brentwood...both directions

The Beltline is closed in both directions, spokesman Jim Sughrue said. Traffic on outbound New Bern Avenue also is being diverted. Traffic on inbound New Bern is not affected. Sughrue said he was not certain about all the details of the situation. Other emergency workers also are on the scene, he said.
man, someone informed the traffic cam folks....they refocused so you can't see what's going on now....

Yep, I just diverted up to I540 to get to the Airport. Unfortunately it is true that those in depression tend to get extra depressed this time of year! Make sure you make it a point to let these individuals know you love them!
Nothing like being a major distraction to hundreds of people and tying up resources as Fire, Police, and who knows who else. What is she a copy cat from the other day. I guess it could be kin of the other jumper.
Well if it's attention she's needing then she's got it. However, I was surprised and I guess I really shouldn't have been, but my husband is down directing traffic on the beltline near there and he said that people driving by once they got through were yelling things like "shoot her". I mean I despise traffic and if I had to sit in it for as long as these folks I would go batty, but I mean to say something like that is obviously very wrong.

:shock: Have we become THAT cold hearted?? We were delayed a bit by that traffic on Saturday night, but for heaven's sake, surely we can all find it in our hearts to have some patience for a situation like this? I try to say a prayer for the victims whenever I see an accident, not yell horrible things like that. I can't believe someone could be that cruel. :cry:
well its one thing to take your own life... what a shame that is... but then you become a major nuisance to everyone else, some see it as total selfishness, life is such a precious thing and should be valued as such.. There are a many people I have known who would've loved to have even another day on this fine earth and didn't have a choice in the matter and millions more beyond that in this country... then you have a few of these who become a spectacle of their own choice who more times than not never follow thru with it. So in my opinion thats why you get the cat calls. right or wrong.
