Anyone else watch this on HBO? My husband and I watched it last season faithfully. We missed the first couple of episodes but they've been playing the reruns this past week so I got to see them. I normally don't like vampire shows/movies, but I love this show! (except the occasional too much blood in one scene) The new season starts next Sunday I think!
We watch it, typically HBO does a great job (Sopranos, Carnival, Deadwood, and Rome) and this one certainly is in this realm. USA Today yesterday made a big push for this series to bring in some Emmy's. P.S. My dog Pullo gets the full "Titus Pullo" thrown at him when ever he gets in trouble (one of the main characters from Rome).
Funny you asked because I asked my friends via my Facebook if I should watch "True Bloods" since I don't have HBO. I'm going to go ahead and rent it from Blockbuster by mail.
Yeah, you should see me at Garner Library today - got a bunchful of vampire novels in my hands on the way out. I'm addicted to read that kind of stuff. By the way, did you see "New Moon" trailer? I'm about to die when I saw it! http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810055802/video/13762324
Thanks for sharing that trailer! I love all these new vampire shows/movies! Can't wait for the 2nd season of True Blood. I've read all the books and am totally addicted!
First episode was last night and I thought it was OK. We recorded it and I watched it after the concert last night, so it was a little anticlimactic for me.
Looks like him! I watched it last night too and thought it was good. I spent most of the weekend showing my step-daughter episodes from the first season and she loved it. I was little freaked out by the redneck getting eaten, and the normally made-up gay black guy looked totally different. It took a while to realize it was him. I'm just glad he's not the one they found dead. I really like him (can't think of his name now).
I don't know, but I don't understand why Tara just let her talk to her mom the way she did. I know Tara has issues with her mom, but it seems like she could see the *itch in that woman!
The show is based on a series of books. They are the Sookie Stackhouse Series. There are 9 right now. I read the books first then watched the first season. Now I am hooked on the show and the books.
I just watched last Sunday's episode last night. This season is getting good! What do you think that thing was that scratched Sookie's back! I think it might be that freaky nymph woman, but not sure. My husband didn't mind that episode with all the naked women at the party! I still love my Jason Stackhouse. Do you think he'll get mixed up with the preacher's wife?!
