Finally going to try the Raleigh location today. Love both of the Asheville locations, but there are always changes as the brand expands, so we are hopeful that we will love this location after our meal today. Anyone have experiece with this location?

They also have two wonderful cookbooks with some of their wonderful dishes for sale. They were popular Christmas gifts this year for friends who now live in other areas of the country.

Looks like it will be good. I've never eaten at any of their locations but it looks like a Cracker Barrel on steroids with class and character. Looks good. Let us know.

You have missed out. I have stood in line outside of the original location in Asheville with a long line of people waiting to get in, which is not that uncommon with a good restaurant, but in the mountains in the dead of winter it is saying something other than you are freezing.

Our reservations are at 4, which was the only time available when I called last week, so there must be some similarities.

Do they have the Moonswine Mary at the Raleigh location? Signature Bloody Mary with Moonshine and Bacon. It will knock your socks off!!

They are supposed to have it. I have had it at the downtown Asheville location and could not agree more. The only better drink was the infused moonshine my older son had as the signature drink at his wedding. There was supposed to be one per guest, but my wife does not drink so I got hers too. The piper and groomsmen had some additional for special toasts as well. It did not knock my socks off but made my legs wobbly after the first half dozen drinks. LOL.

The sweet potato pancakes are great. The nutty chicken is a favorite of mine too, so I am wondering how it will fair in comparison. The buy local and quality starts them off on the right foot too.

OK, the food was just as good as the other locations according to our party.

I had the NY strip with the red wind bordelaise and nearly burst. The other members each tried a different meal so we covered most of the menu. The fried chicken satimbocca, venerated veggie bowl, meatloaf, shoo mercy grilled cheese, salmon with orange cranberry, and of course the biscuits and honey were all given multiple thumbs up as there was a lot of intertasting of the food.

The ambiance is very different from the original location in the old old building, but the service was great and the food was as good as hoped for.

The prices are nearly as "good" as the food so be ready for some possible sticker shock.

Yeah, I noticed that looking at their menu on-line. They seem to be pretty proud of their food.

They are, for good reason too. There were 3 take home boxes that came with us and two of us ate too much to bother with taking the rest home. Only one of us ate everything. It was very good food, but for almost two bills after drinks and tip it is not an everyday dinner place for sure.

Been to one in Asheville and also the one on Oberlin. It's really popular so someone must like it. I think their plan is to make you wait until you're starved before seating you, that way anything would seem good.

If you're in to waiting two hours to eat hippy food you'll probably like it.

Great food at the one in Asheville, I haven't been to the Raleigh location YET. But I definitely will. Not a place for everyone to eat weekly but the food is great. If you don't like to wait, it's simple make a reservation. If you want McDonalds go get it. Quality restaurants will always have a wait, they wouldn't be in business if they didn't.
