My internet has been slower than dial up for the past hour or so, Road Runner site said there is a problem they are working on. I just saw on the news that there is a widespread outage due to a fiber optic cable cut caused by an accident. Not sure if that means a car accident or what, but anywho, just wanted to share the info. Digital cable and phone may be affected also. My cable isn't, but our phone is screwy.

Ok, am i doing something illegal? i have my son's laptop and since our internet is messing up i did a search on some thingy he has at the bottom of the page for signals. It came up with one that had good strength so i clicked on it and now my internet is working. i know it probably isn't secure so it limits what i can do online. Is this ok or am i gonna get chewed out by my son when he gets home?
i don't know about getting chewed out by him, but you're definitely tapping into some wireless signal for free...
Ok, switching back now. Hopefully TWC is ok now, channel 14 just came back on the air. Thanks for the info.
Thank goodness it's fixed! Weird thing is I couldn't call out, but I could get incoming calls.....The Jahovah's (sp?) Witnesses called. My how times have changed, they used to come knocking on the door. :lol:
I'm glad to hear that I wasn't alone - my TW's RoadRunner was so SLOW this morning that I got fed up and walk away. Now it's working just fine.
I got so tired of trying to get on the internet earlier after I posted the last post that I shut off my computer and just now turning it back on and am glad to see the internet is back up to speed! 8)
