I just received the following request. =================================================================== Ann Arant asked me to email our agency’s need and request. This year we have at least 30 families that we have not been able to link up with sponsors from the community. Each of these families have an average of 3 children in each household ranging in ages from babies up to 17 years of age. If anyone is able to assist, we could greatly benefit from receiving any type of gift for any age child. The gift can be delivered directly to me at our agency located at 806 North St. Smithfield, NC no later than11:30 am on Wednesday, December 19th. We will then take all of the generic type gifts we are able to collect and match them with these children. We would appreciate any assistance that can be provided. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 919-989-5388. Sincerely, Denise Boyette—Johnston Co. DSS
Any ideas on how to insure that the items you donate to the children of a needy family don't get taken by the parents to return to stores to get the cash to use for drugs or what not?
No way that I know to guarantee such a thing. Just give with good intentions and care. If they do that sort of thing it will be on their conscience not yours.
