Still the American Dream-FREE Home Ownership Expo More and more renters aspire to become homeowners, according to a recent survey. According to survey results, nearly 60 percent of current renters plan to purchase a home in the next two years. The survey also revealed key motivations behind the respondents’ plans for home ownership. Forty-nine percent simply want the chance to call themselves homeowners, 44 percent view owning a home as a good financial investment, and 36 percent need more space for their family and/or children On February 23rd, the Johnston County Association of REALTORS® is hosting a Home Ownership Expo at Johnston Community College Paul A Johnson Auditorium from 10am-4pm. This event is free to the public. The purpose of the expo is to educate the public on the benefits of home ownership and affordability in today's market. The expo will be used to stimulate home sales through educating the public as to the local housing options and availability, affordability and the benefits of home ownership. Also if you are looking to update, upgrade or improve your current home! Speak to Realtors®, builders, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, carpet and flooring representatives, cabinet and counter top representatives, landscapers, interior designers – any product related to home ownership! There will be speakers throughout the day speaking on pertinent home ownership information, Food, cash prizes and giveaways. We are still interested in outside vendors for this Expo as well.
