This ad is posted on craigslist. My daughter rescued a puppy from there in January. They are a high kill shelter and this is no joke. They simply do not have the means to keep dogs and large numbers are put to sleep. I can only guess this ad is being posted because these two strays have warmed their way into the heart of the staff. I hope someone here (or someone they know) can save these babies by tomorrow. URGENT!!! PLS SAVE THESE DOGS!!! Contact: Shelley Milburn both of these dogs will die tomorrow at 3 pm. Please help me get the word out about them. Mojo - Mojo looks to be about one to two years old, his teeth looked really good. The dogs that were in the play yard barking scared him. He weighs about 35 to 40 pounds. Mojo was brought in as a stray. He is a very pretty boy. Cooper - Cooper is approximately 1 year old. 24 inches and 30 lbs. Cooper was calm when taken outside and needs to learn how to walk on lead. He enjoyed being petted but was a little nervous. Cooper was a stray. There is no pull fee. I can assist with transport within a hour radius of Nashville, NC which includes Raleigh/Durham, Emporia, VA, Roanoke Rapids, Fayetteville, and other areas. This shelter does not provide any vetting. Thank you, -- Shelley Milburn SPCA Alliance of NC, President www.spcaanc.org Join us: http://www.facebook.com/spcaanc
I know. My daughter got her shepard/lab mix puppy just hours before she and her littermates were scheduled to be put down. Some of them didn't make it and I am so glad that my daughter could save one. She is the sweetest and smartest dog and too cute-one ear that stands up like a shepard and the other flops over like a lab! I know that being put down is a better alternative than being a stray but all they want is someone to love them.
Its a crappy way but how else to word it? It is what it comes down to when people do not tend to their pets/animals properly. I'm sure with shelter staff they didn't mean any harm by their wording to the general public. They're probably just so use to having to do the deed that they didn't think anything of the wording while typing .... just like some people of the world who don't think anything of taking in a puppy due to cuteness at the time or because their unborn child would want one when they're older....... Poor pups ... and dogs .... and kittens... and cats..... list goes on.
