If this dog doesn't get a home, he will be PUT DOWN???? Why? At least take him to a shelter and give him a chance to be adopted. Gracious! Is there anyone out there that can give this sweet looking fella a second chance? I have 3 pooches so my house is full. http://www.4042.com/cgi-bin/classif...play_db_button=on&db_id=32089&query=retrieval
This happens very frequently. One of the most sited reasons for people surrendering their animals at a shelter is that they are moving. www.animalsheltering.org/resource_l...3/moving_on_motivations_for_relinguishers.pdf I do not understand this. Growing up, my family, and myself as an adult, have always taken our animals (dogs, cats, birds, other misc) with us. I drove almost 800 miles to move to NC, with 4 cats in the car. I wouldn't desert my pets anymore than I would desert my children.
But would your cats desert you if you didn't have them held against their will like common prisoners?
Ready~ Wish I could. I have a small child, and those neighborhood dogs I vented about before.... Frogger
I hear ya! Growing up we moved cross-country several times with a cat, dog, and five kids. If ANYTHING, my parents would have wanted to leave one of the kids behind. The pets even went on vacations with us (camping). The cat had cancer in his old age, and my parents opted for the expensive surgery/treatment but he died a few months later. At least he was given a chance, he was family.
