Notice of Regular Board Meeting Notice is given that a meeting of the US 70 Corridor Commission is to be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 in Smithfield, NC, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the JohnstonCountyAgriculturalCenter. The center is located at 2736 NC 210 Highway, Smithfield, NC27577. For directions, go to http://johnston.ces.ncsu.edu/index.php?page=contact. The meeting agenda will be available on the Super 70 website (www.super70corridor.com) closer to the meeting date. The US 70 Corridor Commission is a united effort to create positive change along Highway 70 in Johnston, Wayne, Lenoir, Jones, Craven and Carteret counties. By working together, a super coalition of government agencies can attract the needed resources to realize the vision "to partner with local, regional, and state government agencies to effectively support initiatives enhancing safety, mobility and economic vitality along the Highway 70 corridor through land use planning, transportation improvement, and economic development strategies." The US 70 Corridor Commission conducts a regular business meeting on the second Thursday of every other month, unless otherwise posted. The meetings are held at various locations along the corridor in the member counties. These meetings are open to the public, but there is not time specifically devoted to public comment.
