Does anyone know of a shelter or pet rescue group who wants old towels and sheets. I cleaned out my linen closet today and have a bunch of stuff. I hate to throw it away if it can be used. Thanks
Someone may have already contacted you about your offer but I do know that the Harnett County Animal Shelter in Lillington is always grateful for those items. It seems that when the Wake County Animal Shelter is full the folks there tell people to carry their animals to Harnett County in Lillington. Lillington always gets Wake County's over-flow. And they do not turn anyone away no matter what county they came from to turn in animals. We were there one Saturday and they had a horse which was reported for being abused and malnurished.
Saving Grace Rescue and Adoptions in Wake Forest lists used blankets and linens as items to donate to their facility. The website is http://www.savinggracenc.org
Wake county SPCA can use them! The nicer stuff we send off to the womans shelter the older stuff we keep.
