Ok.. couldnt find the thread where HG (atleast I think it was HarleyGirl) had mentioned this.. I did search, I promise!!

HG had mentioned that if you have a vehicle with over 100,000 miles and call the tax office (989-5130) within 30 days of receiving your bill, they can adjust your bill for the high mileage.

Well, I did call because I got our bill a few weeks ago and our jeep has 111,000-ish. There is a formula that they use, and I just thought I would pass it along. They figure 15,000 per year, plus an additional 10,000 on top of that. If you have more than that for mileage, then you qualify for the lower rate. Needless to say, Mr. Jeep didn't qualify by a lousy 4,000 miles. :x

    Hey Tassy -
Has your Jeep ever been in a WRECK? Any sort of WRECK? Even a small fender bender - you can ask to get a discount based on the loss of the accident.
Not sure how that all works but worth a try.

My car got the reduction, but we had to take physical evidence in to prove it.

just get a little body damage offroad, mayhaps? =DD it'll make your jeep more jeepy, and you can say it was a wreck!
