THIS IS A JOKE:lol::lol::lol: Virginia Girls do it right: Three men were sitting together, bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. The first man had married a woman from Indiana, and bragged that he had told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning that needed to be done at their house. He said that it took a couple days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house, and the dishes were all washed and put away. The second man had married a woman from Utah. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. He told them that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table. The third man had married a Virginia girl. He said that he told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed, and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he still didn't see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, just enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and call a landscaper for his yard.:lol:
Very nice!!!! And so true! I am a lurker but had to post- born and raised VA girl. Nice to see there are some other VA ladies in the area.
Well hello! What part of VA are you from? Southwest here, about an hour from the TN border.................:-D
Cool, and to second kdc's question, what part of VA are ya from? i was born and raised in Lynchburg but spent summers split between VA Beach and Nathalie.
I was born and raised in Roanoke, spent alot of my summers at Smith Mtn Lake and had a short stint in Radford. I miss beautiful VA and the mountains, but I love NC- beaches and employment- not to mention not too far from home but far enough not to get any unannounced visits from in-laws! he he! I am definitely a Virginia girl and proud to be. That joke was so on the money, it described every VA girl I know and love!
WOW I spent my summers in Roanoke off of 10th street with my granny. I loved going to Mill Mt zoo and Lakeside. My great uncle was one of the ones who helped made the coffee pot that poured coffee. twitch
That's cool! Going to Roanoke was a big deal when I was growing up! Got lots of relatives there now, LOVE it! I'd like to move there eventually.....................................
I can't believe you mentioned Lakeside, oh the memories. And the coffee pot-last year, there was a big too-doo about the coffee pot being turned back on!There was a big ceremony as it was lit, Glad to know there are some VA girls nearby at 4042.
Who can forget that old woodedn rollercoaster at Lakeside? It would knock the breath out of you!!
Oh Wow, memories of Lakeside:-D i remember standing in line for that rollercoaster over and over again trying to ride it more times in a row than others with me:lol: i also remember my Dad scaring the crap out of me on the skyline thingy as a very small child. Now Smith Mountain Lake, great memories from there too - caught my first fish there. Our Youth Leader at church had a house on the lake and we had so many fun retreats up there. Growing up in Lynchburg, we didn't have a mall for the longest time and were always going to Roanoke to the mall and for concerts since no concert hall in Lynchburg either. Used to spend a couple weeks a summer up there too with a great friend who moved there. Cool that we have another Va girl on the boards - welcome.
