Does anyone have experience with a Vizio TV? We just need a basic TV for a spare room. I am considering one. But, I just want to make sure it is a good quality. I have read a few reviews for some websites, but like to get as much information as possible.

    Thanks!

My parents bought a 50" Vizio and a 32" about 2 years ago... both have never had a problem so just recently I bought a 32" at Sam's Club and I love it! Picture is beautiful and price was great. It came to about $699 with a service plan.

Vizio is a Sony without the Sony name on it. Very good panels for the price.

They're good. The higher the contrast rate is, the more clearer and crispier the picture will get. For example: 10,000:1 is better than 800:1.

We gave my mom one for her birthday this past Feb. She absolutely loved it. Picture quality was great but I was mostly impressed with the sound quality.

While that is true for the larger sets, it is almost impossible to find a smaller unit with a real high contrast ratio without paying a 52" price for a 16-25" unit.

Also that being said when you get to a certain level of pixels, can you really tell the difference between 500,000:1 and a 1,000,000:1. Most avs fans say that honestly NO you can't, but they still buy the 1,000,000:1 just cause it is "supposed" to be better

That being said, we bought a Vizio 37" about this time last year and love it, especially for the price we paid.

We have had ours for approx. 4 years and love it!

  9. We have 12 flat panels and 7 of them here at the sports bar are Vizios. We have had only one that we had to replace in over a year. We run them up to 17 hours a day, 7 days a week. They actually look better then some of the other ones we have.
