Does anyone on here wakeboard or water ski? I am thinking of purchasing either both or one of the two. I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight, the best brand, so forth.

    Thanks

CWB brand is good. Make sure you do the boot upgrades. Otherwise, it'll hurt your ankles. The boots should have straps that you pull to tighten and a lever at the back. I would check Overton's in Raleigh. Here are 2 that I am begging for currently. Make sure the weight on them is right before you buy one. And that the length matches up with your height.

We go to Lake Gaston, I cannot ski at all, but LOVE wakeboarding!

Is there anything you would reccomend for cheaper because I hate to invest that kind of money and not like it. I checked ebay to see what they had but nothing caught my eye and I really don't know what I am looking for.

    Thanks

To get one that is in good condition and one that will help you know if you like it or not, you'll have to spend that kind of money. They have a CWB one at dick's sporting goods...still $349 though. Ski's may be cheaper, but like I said, I can't ski at all. If you get a cheaper one, make sure you upgrade the boots, like i said, they make it either good or bad. If your ankles are killing you entire time, you're going to hate it. My fiancee has one that I use, he upgraded the boots and it took me about 45 minutes the first time to get up on it. After you get up the first time, something just clicks. Anyways, long rambling post to say at least upgrade the boots. What kind of boat do you have??? Does it have the wakeboard/ski rack?? The one we use doesn't have that and it makes it a little harder to get up on it. It's fun though, I love it!

Don't buy off e-bay without first knowing the sizes you'll need. they can vary and you don't want to get a board that'll hold up to 250lbs if you weigh 110. or one for folks up to 6'3 or whatever if you're short like me!

We have a Bayliner Seirra 28ft boat. I am not sure if it has the package, but we tube behind it, which I know it is different, but I think it will work.

The speed we go is about 18-20, it has to have some get up and go b/c you need to get up pretty quickly, but like i said, it's TONS of fun and the people at overton's should be able to help you lots!
