Gee, it wasn't that long ago that 40 didn't even go through there, Austin Pond was a fishing club, to get to the beach from Raleigh you had to take 50 out of Garner down to Benson. That exit is already a mess. Now, if there aren't drastic improvements it's going to be a nightmare. I'm glad I only have to go over there occasionally. I refuse to go to this Walmart...unless I need something and I happen to be near there.
THe WalMart on 70 is beginning a major inside renovation starting Sunday to "keep up" with the new one. Will be lasting a few weeks with work being done inside. Hubby had equipment being delivered out there this week.
I was wondering what was going on when I was there yesterday. I know there were some people that were not happy about the shelves being empty.
Yet people will still run you over with a cart. Or the rug rats playing with the toys will take you out. I was in there with the wife this past weekend, and some kids were kicking balls up and down the aisles and hit someone in another aisle. They needed to have a beat down put on them for that stupid crap. Craig

Does anyone know what else will be in the new Walmart shopping center at 40/42? I've seen the signs for Dollar Tree, Rue 21, a show store and I think a Sprint store.
it is the same Sprint/Nextel store that is now in the strip where DQ is, they are just moving. Also heard there is going to be a GameStop there which i am sure the kids and the big kids are gonna be happy about:lol:
Great, now I will never see my daughter or my husband again. One will be at Rue21 and the other will be at Game Stop. Now, if they would only put an AC Moore around here . . .
