Walk In Flu Clinic - Today

    Smithfield, NC – The Johnston County Public Health Department will hold a walk-in flu clinic on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Public Health Department located at 517 N. Bright Leaf Blvd.Smithfield. No appointments are necessary; however, please be sure to bring along your insurance card. Seasonal influenza and H1N1 influenza vaccines will be available while supplies last. The Health Department will prioritize the H1N1 vaccinations for individuals based upon the following recommended groups:

    • Pregnant women
    • Children age 6 months – 24 years
    • Persons 25 – 64 years of age with underlying health issues
    • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
    • Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months

    We went today to get our child's H1N1. Wow...that place was busy. It took us 2 1/2 hours to make it through.
