"Since the first show in 1998, the Chick-fil-A Celebration of Lights has drawn about 120,000 visitors per year. Aerosmith and Motley Crue bands show, scheduled for October 23 won't give Mosca Design, which produces the light show enough time to set up."
Looks like the crowd at Meadow Lights will be larger this year.

In the big city of Meadow, N.C. Johnston County. South of Benson. Great show and it's free except for optional train ride, food and large candy store.

For some reason, their website (http://www.meadowlights.net) is down.

I think there is more to this story than this. Just open the light show a few days later. I bet declining visitors had a lot to do with it. If they take a year off or if there is public outcry then they will have a light show that will be bigger and better.

I posted this the other day, but can't seem to find it...........I believe the same people that are doing The Fear Farm are also going to have a Christmas Light Hay Ride, the website said they were going to have a million lights. I believe the website was www.lightsontheneuse.com.

Much better than driving to Meadow for me!

That's all we need is more people coming down here to Meadow to see the lights and get lost.  Just joke'n! The lights are about 2 miles from my house. It's only 20 mins from 4042 if you take 40HWY. It's not even 3miles off the Meadow Exit. Just follow the signs.

Ain't that the truth. I don't even go by there cause it would take me forever just to get to my house. I have to go all the way around my butt just to get to my elbow!!!

The Boyette Hayride seems very expensive to me. $10 per adult and $5 per kid. If the wife and I take our 6 grandkids we spend $50.00. At Alltell we could get a car full in for $10 and Meadow is free. Let me think about this for awhile. OK, we will be headed to Meadow this year.

Wow, that is expensive. I'll miss Walnut Creek but Meadow has a lot of the same things as WC and they have an awesome candy store with lots of sugar free candy too!

    Only 73 days until Christmas!
