I'm not quite sure what it is pepper, I googled it but still not sure if we have it or not, she is more than welcome to look around though if she likes (we have 5 1/2 acres and alot of it is wooded if its in there)

if i'm not mistaken, there is plenty of Kudzo, on the street that runs beside the Burger King, at 40 and 42

There is also a lot on the left side of 42 before you get to Hwy. 50.

Lord have mercy, don't let that stuff get in your yard. It was brought over from Japan as a way of maintaining areas that were not doing very well with vegetation (places that nothing else would grow in) etc., at least that's what my BIL told me, he worked for NCSU agri. department and I think the state had some other uses for it. The state wishes they'd never, ever heard of that stuff, because it's almost impossible to kill and ends up choking everything else out.

i thought i read somewhere that it is actually illegal now to start growing it. But sheblondy is exactly right, that road that runs behind CVS has a lot of it.

I have seen a picture of a car once that was completely covered and "groomed" in Kudzo. That crap grows anywhere !

  9. I heard about a year or go a so on NPR that some high school student in the pan handle of florida had applied for and had received a permit to have a still at school to try to see if there was a way to convert Kudzu into some sort of ethanol to power cars

I've dug up "roots, bulbs" that weigh upwards of a 1000 pounds with the track hoe. Supposedly, the japanese use the dried roots for medicine. Also heard on NPR it's experimental for the treatment of alcoholism. No s#$*!.
