We knew it would come to this...

just not this soon.
We learned a few weeks ago that our oldest son will be deployed to Afghanistan some time around the first of the year. He is a little nervous and excited at the same time. He is proud to serve his country. We are proud of him also, but of course we are a bit nervous.
For as long as this great country has stood, moms and dads have sent their young ones to war. It doesn't make it any easier though.

For those that pray, and believe in the power of prayer, we would appreciate if you would remember our son and all of the troops and their families.

He will most definitly be in my prayers! Thank him for us for what he is doing. As a military mom also, it is rough letting our babies go. Hang in there and if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

tell your son i appreciate his service as million others do,thank him for putting his life on the line so we can have the freedoms we do and hopefully extend those freedoms to others whom have never had them

Please tell him to cover his "six" and that we are proud of him. I'm proud to welcome him into the profession of arms. So many of us have served, and we ask so little in return. Please express to him our admiration and prayers for a safe, fast return.

 

I appreciate what he is doing for all of us. I will be praying for him and all the other soldiers at war.
