We need a good Indian and Thai Restaurant! Not just because of these possible health benefits! http://www.scientificblogging.com/news_releases/eat_curry_lose_weight
My husband and I were talking about an Indian Restaurant last night. We like Thai too. I would support them for sure. I also want to get some of the fried bananas/plantains that are Philipino. I had a friend that was Philipino and she used to make them all the time. I haven't had any like that since she moved and have not been able to find a recipe that is just like hers yet, but am still searching.
But is there a large enough need in this community to support such establishments? Granted there would be at first to the novelty of them, but there would need to be a long term support for it to be worth while of even thinking about opening such a establishment. And while they may have a steady flow of business, I doubt it would be enough to maintain a profitable establishment, especially a year or so later. Craig
Take aside the article and all the healthy crap and let's talk. I eat because I like the taste of something, period. I used to love to eat at a Thai restaurant in San Francisco. They had picnic benches inside and out and everyone sat together. The menu was only Thai salads and it was wonderful. I think I might have eaten there for lunch every day for two months then I tapered myself...it was good. I think something like that would work around here. I think people also like meeting new people if the food is good. Sherry
