Well it is finally that time to start planning for my wedding...I'm both excited and sick to my stomach about it at the same time...so much stress...on top of everything else...ANYWAY... Can anyone give me any ideas of where to have it in JoCo, HarnettCo, or even DuplinCo? We would like to have the wedding and ceremony ideally at the same site since I have a lot of family coming in from NJ and I don't want them to get lost... So far we are looking at: (Not sure if we can afford these, but we'll see) Chateau Belleive, Fuquay Duplin Winery, Rose Hill Barrington House, Dunn Also if you have any other contacts, caterer, florist, dj, videographer, photographer, wedding planner, etc feel free to send them my way as I'm starting a list and comparing / contrasting prices. THANK YOU 4042'ers.
How soon is your wedding? A couple is in the process of remodeling the old Horne Mansion on Boling Street (across from Granite Lodge) in Clayton into an events center. Their plans are 1st class. Not sure when they will be ready for weddings/receptions/meetings/parties, etc. You can stop by and ask them. I hope the final edition is as good as their plans. If so, it will be a great addition to Clayton.
The wedding isn't until 10/9/2010...I know FAR away...I just need to plan early since me and Chris (the fiance) have to pay for it all ourselves..I already found my perfect dress in Smithfield..I just need to lose about 10 lbs and then it'll look perfect!!
Julie has a great website! I'll def keep her in my "Wedding Contacts" folder on my e-mail. Thanks VolleyGirl!! The Cleveland School place is pretty (my dentist used to be in that building) but like you said it's hard to get past the buildings...it's like would CVS be in the background? LOL
I have been to an outdoor wedding at the Taj Mahal there behind CVS...and you cannot see any signs of that intersection. ITS GORGEOUS! it is landscaped beautifully! You should check it out.....
Well now you're just going to have to keep a wedding blog so we can know all the details. Get a pic of that dress up ASAP!
Here is the website for 'The Landmark', behind CVS....check out the Gardens tour....I forgot about the cobblestone bridge back there, the bride walks across....its gorgeous! http://thehallatlandmark.com/main.html
Here's actually the link to my 'dream dress': http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collect...yID=8b186130-0d63-4e3c-ac5c-aea0d9566e1c&pg=2 I actually like the color shown since our colors will be dark green / pale green. I do have a wedding website on the knot..I just need to find the link...I'm also on FACEBOOK!
Don't know what the price range is, but check these places out www.thefalconshamlet.com and http://barclayvilla.com/home.htm
I went to a wedding at the Wagner in Clayton a couple of weeks ago and it was beautiful. My hubby's best friend is getting married at Ray Price HD in a month! 8)
I am getting married this October at the Magnolia Manor Bed and Breakfast (about 1 hour north of Raleigh). They do an all inclusive wedding package. The package includes everything except the photographer and the officiant, and the dress. They will do the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception, plus provide accommodations for the wedding party for the whole weekend. Check it out... www.magnoliamanorbnb.com Volleygirl... I booked Julie Corso for our pictures a couple months ago. I found her just after a search on the internet. It makes me feel great to see a recommendation! I thought her presentation was very professional.
love this thread, DS and future DIL are checking all the same things out, gotta give them a link to it:hurray:
Congrats on your wedding! I am getting married this year on 10/10/09. Me and my fiance are also on a very tight budget since we are paying for our own wedding. These are the places and vendors that I found that are cost friendly and very good I might add. Hope these help. Wedding ceremony and reception site: www.delightfulinspirations.com Hotel for out of town guests: http://www.cmchotels.com/hic_accom.html Photographer: www.brianflemingphotography.com Flowers: www.danielsflowers.com Cake: www.cindascreativecakes.com DJ: www.taylormadedjservices.com These are all wonderful places and people to work with. The wedding site and the hotel for guests are within a mile of each other. Let me know if you need any further. I researched for a while before I booked all these vendors.
Oh that's fantastic! I need to give her a call. She's so great. Our boys love to play together. Just a truly good person and professional.
Congrats on your wedding, too!! That's too funny we actually were thinking of your date but then pushed it back since we spent a lot of our savings on the house...the reception site looks gorgeous! Haven't had time to check out the other links yet...thanks for sending them!!
